When I’m working on documentaries it always surprises me how much there is to be unraveled. My curiosity for the unknown and the urge to discover nourish my enthusiasm to investigate and to detail the events.

 

I am fascinated by the photographic process. You make a decision and push a button which captures a moment that is already fading after the shutter closes. That specific moment is saved and will continue to tell its story long after the moment has passed.

 

For portraits and group photos I try to catch the specific details, for example charisma, special characteristics, typical posture, moods and atmosphere.
